Thank you for taking the time for this interview. Can you introduce yourself?

My name is Ben Hazan, I am the CEO of GradBay. We are a graduate hiring agency, connecting growing businesses with emerging talent between the age of 21 and 25. We help organizations to hire their next generation of workforce.

What have you been working on since joining Camden Gateway?

Since joining Camden Gateway, we have hired three new members of staff. Our new product manager will focus on increasing user engagement on our site. We have also hired a new member of our talent acquisition team and a new member of our sales team.

Alongside hiring new candidates, we have just launched a project with Unilever, where we provided a white label version of GradBay for a Unilever brand called Pot Noodle.

What did you like about Camden Gateway and why did you and your team join?

Having worked in a few different coworking spaces, first of all, I like that at Camden Gateway you can see other businesses and be inspired by other people working. Camden Gateway was immediately a really friendly welcoming space. It is very light and airy and everyone seemed very open and friendly.

We have been to a few other coworking spaces which did not quite have the atmosphere we were looking for. As soon as we stepped foot into Camden Gateway, we knew this was going to be a good place for us to be. We are super happy and have been here now for about three months.

What do you like most about Camden Gateway? Have you enjoyed the community events?

Yes, the drinks on Thursday night have been a lovely touch. The team is always looking forward to it. The space is cool and I have been using the in-house gym now and again. It is great to bring the dogs in.

Camden is a new area for me and working here has been very good. The Camden Locks are just down the road and I am looking forward to the summer months when we can spend more time there. I am excited about this summer and hopefully, we can all enjoy it.

How important was it for your coworking space to be dog-friendly?

Being dog-friendly was a prerequisite. We didn't look at any spaces that would not allow dogs. The dogs are an extension of our team and they have been here from day one. The dogs are an integral part of our sales team because it opens up conversations. We genuinely have met some of our clients because they first spoke to our dogs. We couldn't go into a workspace where the dogs wouldn't be allowed.

What would you say to anyone interested in joining the space?

Just come and check it out. From the moment Eric welcomes you into the building, it is a warm and welcoming experience. It is also a really well-kept building, very clean and well run. We like the on-site gym, which has been a nice benefit. There is a range of businesses working here from one-person startups to more established companies, offering different services. Camden Gateway is a unique space in that effect and the location is perfect. I would highly recommend it.
